Fully packed weeks ~ Quiet Time…
Monday, March 6th, 2006Have been going thru a couple of fully packed weeks…
19-26 February
Back from holidays in ipoh. Enjoyed my mid term break and my stay at home. However the bad news is…its’s exam week! oh…a paper on 22nd feb and another on 25th feb. thank God that i can manage to handle both papers.
26th February i took part in Clipso’s Hairshow in The Mines Shopping Center. was actually lending a helping hand to lily cos her model couldnt make it at the eleventh hour. so i’m there on stage, basically as a replacement. Was a good experience though, cos my partner is experienced in modelling so it’s good that i get to learn and at least not the blind leading the blind. Thumbs up for the graduating students for they really showed professionality in their results on stage. Especially to my stylist, Yen, she’s really skillful in dinner bun. Thanks for styling my hair!
27-5 march
Not much basically, attending classes, doing lab work, and finishing the 1st chapter of my thesis. on saturday 4march we met up with jacob and went to our new church (GEPC) located in taman connaught in cheras. (near the pasar malam) we were there for our 1st prayer meeting and some discussions on the Opening Service (this soming saturday 11th march). The church is almost finished renovating, i suppose will be done in few days time. More than 20 ppl came for the meet, some travelled from ipoh and some from kt. Do pray with us in thsi exciting new church planting movement.
on 5th march, sunday, ashlee, calisa, jacob n i went to City Harvest Church in Sunway. it was an eye-opener to see the way they organize their service and ministry. I’m truly blessed from the sermon by Pastor Kevin Loo (The author of Everyday Devotion). We then went to sunway pyramid, met up with jacob’s fren, Ruth, who’s also a fren of my cousin Derrick (the world is so small!). after lunch we went to Salvation in SS2 and headed home after that. It was a tiring yet fruitful weekend.
6th march ~ Monday ~
Happy birthday to my fren syying!
I stayed at home today, didnt go anywhere, just finishing some assignments, chat with some frens, preparing saturday practice materials…and spending some time with myself. I do love this "quietness" away from the noisy world out there. When we sit still in quietness and listen, we could really listen to Him speaking. Appreciate the quietness that God has given me today, that i can renew my mind and strength, to continue the journey.
Looking forward to the Opening Service this saturday…looking forward to see you there…till then, have a nice week!
